About Berkeley Flea Market

Nestled in Berkeley, the flea market on Ashby Avenue offers a mix of nostalgia and community spirit. Operating on weekends from 7 AM to 5 PM, it attracts a variety of vendors and shoppers, creating a friendly atmosphere. Locals reminisce about childhood visits, recalling the vibrant energy and good food available. Families often enjoy time together while browsing the stalls, though the number of vendors can vary significantly from week to week.

Some visitors have expressed disappointment, noting occasions with as few as seven vendors, which can leave much to be desired. However, the quality of items displayed is often praised, with several vendors showcasing unique and interesting products. While the selection may not always be abundant, those who appreciate a smaller market often find it worth the visit. The camaraderie among shoppers and sellers adds a warm touch to the experience.

Parking is convenient, and for first-time visitors, it’s best to approach with an open mind about what to expect. While you might find a larger selection elsewhere, the Berkeley Flea Market has its charm and is a great spot to soak in local culture, especially on a sunny weekend.
